Axxon PSIM–Based Security and Manufacturing Video Surveillance System Installed at Eurochamp, Spain
Eurochamp, a Spanish company, supplies fresh artificially grown mushrooms, primarily champignons, to the market. The company required a robust solution for monitoring and recording product quality, ensuring consistency with supplier information. This was achieved through state-of-the-art video analytics for manufacturing integrated with a video surveillance system.

Eurochamp is a prominent Spanish producer specializing in the supply of fresh, artificially grown mushrooms, such as champignons, to various markets. Eurochamp collaborates closely with numerous suppliers to ensure high-quality product delivery, emphasizing transparency in the production and quality control processes.
Project Aim
The company needed an advanced solution to streamline and automate its quality control processes. The goal was to monitor and record product quality efficiently, comparing it to the data provided by suppliers. For this, the client chose a system based on AxxonSoft’s open PSIM software platform, which was integrated with Brickcom IP cameras.
This system incorporated cutting-edge video analytics for manufacturing, providing the company with real-time insights into product quality. The solution was installed by WAF, a key AxxonSoft partner in Spain.

Description of the Solutions
To make the process of quality assessment for mushrooms as objective and transparent as possible, the evaluation procedure was redesigned. New rules now took force: all actions were made in accordance with a defined protocol. The product was now weighed, after which a sample was taken for evaluation. The sample was placed in a special facility with video cameras that recorded careful study of the mushrooms by Eurochamp employees.
The manufacturing video surveillance system included two 5-megapixel IP cameras positioned to capture different angles of the evaluation process, while another camera was placed directly above the work table to provide a comprehensive view. A total of 17 cameras, three servers, and three remote workstations were installed to ensure complete coverage of the facility.
A key addition was the implementation of visual tags for digital tracking, allowing each product to be identified by a barcode containing all relevant information. This enhanced transparency, as suppliers could now utilize the system’s video analytics for manufacturing to verify the accuracy of product quality assessments, improving trust and collaboration between Eurochamp and its suppliers.
Result
The introduction of Axxon PSIM–based security and manufacturing video surveillance system transformed Eurochamp’s quality evaluation processes. The system facilitated smoother supplier relationships and increased the transparency of both tracking and pricing. The integration of video analytics for manufacturing ensured that Eurochamp could easily monitor product quality, compare supplier data, and make informed decisions regarding pricing and supply chain management.
